In their words

What our families & alumni are saying

“They care so deeply for their clients.”

Before Charlie Health, I was in a less-than-wonderful state of mind; I struggled with many major mental illnesses, as well as suicidal ideation. I won’t say I’m perfect, and I’ll need help for the rest of my life, but this program has taught me that’s more than okay. They care so deeply for their clients, and that means the world to me. I can leave Charlie Health confidently, saying I have better tools and means to regulate and handle the issues I personally face. Charlie Health allowed me to get closer to being myself fully.

—Marissa A.

“Coping skills are literally a lifesaver.”

While no, Charlie Health didn’t fix my life haha, I feel I am leaving with a refresher on how my life isn’t as doomed as it sometimes feels. More than just being told there are other people out there like me, I got to experience the people themselves, hear their stories, share mine, and be heard. It helped me feel like, once again, maybe I can do this even if it feels like it’s getting harder every day. I know there are others fighting the same fight and that I can do it even if it feels impossible. Coping skills are literally a lifesaver, and I hope more people can learn and utilize them, especially in the world we currently reside in. It’s not over.

—Nicole C.

“You’re never alone.”

I know times are difficult, and you may not have much hope, but when you really do give it your best, even if you don’t, you truly get such awesome results! Always remember, even though I don’t know whoever is going to be reading this, Mylo loves you, and he’ll always be here to support you. Especially if you’re someone who is LGBTQIA+ or Neurodivergent, just know that I will ALWAYSSS and FOREEVERRR fight for our rights! You deserve the space and equal opportunity to express yourself, your identity, your sexuality, your experiences, your personality, and other aspects of yourself and your mind however you so please. This is YOUR space, make the most of it :3 you got this homie! I believe in you; remember, you’re always valid, no matter what. You are YOU, and that makes you pretty dang swag. I love you, and I’m for sure that there are people out there who feel similar, if not the same, but even if it doesn’t feel like that, please reach out to your resources! You’re never alone; there are people out there who will support and accept you for who you genuinely are; I know I do!

—Mylo S.
